The module is used in control circuits and automation as an intermediate unit and is designed to close / open the power supply circuits of various electrical and electronic devices, it allows to organize the galvanic isolation of the control signal of automation systems or control units from the external device circuits.
Type of switching element - electromechanical relay ("dry contact")
The module circuit allows implementing various circuit switching options:
- control voltage at the input of the module +5 V - switching group of the relay is closed;
- control voltage at the module input +5 V - switching relay group is open;
- control voltage at the input of the module 0 V - switching group of the relay is closed;
- control voltage at the input of the module 0 V - switching group of the relay is open.
The load characteristics of the switching relay group have a wide range, which allows the module to be used to solve a wide variety of tasks.
One example of the use of the module is its use, together with the KATRON-SKZ controller, in the control circuit of the cathodic protection rectifier (CPR) for turning off / on the supply voltage of the CPR equipped with an electromagnetic starter. This scheme allows remote shutdown and powering up of the CPR on the command of the control controller, for example, during the production of welding or some other dangerous work on a pipeline.
